THE VISITORS
The Principal called Sheila when she reached the
school late, huffing and puffing.
“Why are you late? There was this guy, a parent, waiting
to see you. After about an hour’s wait, he went away after lecturing me on
teacher’s need for punctuality.”
Sheila shrugged and thought, “Wish someone would
advise the same to Laxman, the Bank Manager whom I tried in vain to meet today!”
“I had to go to the bank on some urgent work, sir.
Who was the visitor anyway?”
“Mr. Laxman, a bank manager, it seems….”
The principal looked on in puzzlement as Sheila
burst out in hysterical laughter.
